Sadducees:Priestly aristocrats who managed the affairs of the Jerusalem Temple. Their denial of a future resurrection was unacceptable to most Jews of the day (Acts 23:8; CCC 992-93). Here they consider a future resurrection only hypothetically; they are really out to prove there is no such thing.
