son of God:The final link of the genealogy points to Adam’s sonship at creation. In light of the similar statements about Jesus (1:35; 3:22), Luke implies a connection between the two: Christ is a new Adam who regenerates a new humanity in the life and grace of God (Rom 5:14; 1 Cor 15:45).
