ISB ~ Luke 24 v51

up into heaven:Jesus’ Ascension is the only episode that overlaps with Luke’s second book, the Acts of the Apostles. No mention is made here of the “forty days” that intervened between Easter Sunday and the day of his ascent (Acts 1:3, 9). The event culminates in Jesus’ royal enthronement at the Father’s right hand (Mk 16:19; Acts 2:32-35; CCC 659-64).
