ISB ~ Galatians 2 v4

false brethren:Judean believers who promoted circumcision as a necessary prerequisite for salvation (Acts 15:1).

our freedom:Christ liberates believers from the curses and ceremonies of the Mosaic Law (3:13; 5:6; 6:15). The danger here is that the Judaizers will enslave the Galatians if they successfully persuade them to receive circumcision (5:1-3).
