ISB ~ Acts 2 v2 - 3

The sound of a mighty wind (2:2) and the visible fire (2:3) dramatize the coming of the Spirit (CCC 696).

• The loud and fiery descent of the Spirit here on Mt. Zion (Jerusalem) recalls the loud and fiery descent of Yahweh on Mt. Sinai during the Exodus (Ex 19:16-19).
