ISB ~ Acts 1 v18 - 19

Only Matthew and Luke record traditions about the demise of Judas Iscariot (Mt 27:3-10). Matthew apparently recounts the manner of Judas’ suicide (hanging), while Luke focuses on the results of his death (disembowelment). The brevity of both accounts makes it impossible to reconstruct the exact sequence of events. See note on Mt 27:5.
