Apollos:A Christian leader from Alexandria (northern Egypt) who ministered in Corinth after Paul’s initial stay in the city (3:5, 22; Acts 18:24-19:1).

Cephas:The Aramaic name for Peter that is used throughout this letter (3:22; 9:5; 15:5). This is the only mention of the Apostle Peter’s association with the Corinthians in the NT.
